The three powers of nature, history and cosmos determine Georg Malin's knowledge, thinking and artistic work. In his sculptural works, the artist therefore often deals with forms of nature. Here, a berry fruit is alienated by polished bronze and formed into a crystalline structure in which all natural stages of development seem to be incorporated in parallel.

Georg Malin was born in 1926 in Mauren, Liechtenstein. After studying history, art history and philosophy in Zurich and Fribourg, he has worked as a freelance artist and scientist since 1955. Brancusi's, Moore's and Arp's design solutions were formative for his archetypal clear formal language. His work includes sculptures as well as drawings and watercolours. Malin's sculptures can often be seen in public spaces in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
