The current media world with its shrill and fast productions has long dominated our perception. It is precisely this aesthetic and mode of operation that the photo artist Alexander Timchenko uses. In supernatural colour scenarios, he presents exaggerated art worlds from architecture, culture and nature, thus transferring the profane to the level of art.
Alexander Timchenko was born in 1965 in Starnberg, Germany. In 1995, he received the Bavarian State Sponsorship Award, which enabled him to devote himself to the development of his photographic art. Objects of interest to him represent not so much an "original" as an idea of it - Timchenko moves artistically in a complex system of references. He is internationally present with his works in museum exhibitions
