Sculpture

Bronze, polished

Georg Malin's work revolves around the themes of becoming and passing away. This cycle can be found very clearly in nature, on whose forms Malin's sculptural works are often based. These models are alienated through the use of bronze or granite and formed into crystalline shapes.

Georg Malin was born in 1926 in Mauren, Liechtenstein. He studied history, art history and philosophy in Zurich and Fribourg and has been working as a freelance artist and scientist since 1955. Brancusi's, Moore's and Arp's design solutions were formative for his archetypal clear formal language. His work includes sculptures as well as drawings and watercolours. Malin's sculptures can be seen in public spaces in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
