The view of the photo artist Alexander Timchenko on his motifs is never entirely free of irony. This becomes visible in the image details and perspectives he chooses, but also in the supernatural colour scenarios with which Timchenko overdraws his subjects, which at first glance seem mundane, exaggerates them and thus transfers them to the level of art.
Alexander Timchenko was born in 1965 in Starnberg, Germany. In 1995 he was awarded the Bavarian State Prize, which enabled him to devote himself to the development of his photographic art. Objects of interest to him represent not so much an "original" as an idea of it - Timchenko moves artistically in a complex system of references. He is internationally present with his works in museum exhibitions.
