Known for his unreal cityscapes of Las Vegas, the photographic artist Alexander Timchenko also often devotes himself to nature, architecture and film. He makes use of the aesthetics and functioning of the contemporary media world - exaggerating and exaggerating his subjects in supernatural colour scenarios.
Alexander Timchenko was born in 1965 in Starnberg, Germany. In 1995 he received the Bavarian State Sponsorship Award, and in 1997 a USA scholarship from the Bavarian State Government. His photographs are regularly shown internationally, for example at the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig or the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
