"Nature - and in Gutperle's case especially the divine creation - is the thematic focus in all her works. With a very sure feeling for the interplay of colours, forms and abstraction, she creates works with a fascinating surface structure" writes the Süddeutsche Zeitung on the occasion of an exhibition by Gerdi Gutperle. "The creation of works of art is a long journey of discovery for an artist and this journey began for me with the admiration of man and nature, of microcosm and macrocosm. When an artist sets out on new paths, he wants to broaden his horizons with perseverance, optimism and a thirst for action in order to realise his artistic goals through the growth of skills and abilities," is how the artist herself comments on her work.

Gerdi Gutperle was born in Ölmütz / Moravia and has been working as a freelance artist since 1998. In 1999 she studied with Ernestine Repsch, followed in 2010 by study visits to the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy with Jutta Hass and Rainer Kaiser. Numerous exhibitions at home and abroad followed. The artist lives and works in Hirschberg an der Bergstraße, Germany, and her works are represented in numerous public and private collections.
