Uli Pohl says about his art: "My production is determined by the tendency towards clarity, controllability and order, and this never superficially refers to the transparency of the material I use, but rather to the comprehensibility of the conception that underlies each work. (...) I work very consciously towards a recipient who actively and self-involved looks, thinks, questions, searches and researches."
