Christian Voigt uses digital and analogue large format cameras. He is constantly working on refining his visual language in terms of the stories he tells and the feelings he wants to convey. Landscapes and architecture are at the forefront of his work, which also includes portraits and nudes. His series on "past architecture" and its appearance in our time radiate with life, as do the depictions of "the craziness of our society today". "My pictures are created with the camera, not on the computer," says Voigt in reference to the elaborate technology and editing that goes into his work. "But without today's computer power, my images could not find their final form."
